YouTube, YouTuber. The reason why it's hard to make money now.

The reason why it's hard to make money now.

Recently, the online marketing market has grown and the number of digital nomads has also increased. A few years ago, with the emergence of a huge market called YouTube, the number of people participating in digital nomads has increased. However, as this situation continues, online is saturated. Many people say it's hard anymore. Why is that?

From now on, let's take a look at the reasons why YouTube should never be taken easy and recent trends. I prepared four things in total.

Viewers want more and more stimulating elements.

As the YouTube market grew bigger, videos of various content appeared. As a result, viewers are increasingly interested too. This leads to strengthening of video content. Because consumers also want to see good contents and fancy videos.

A few years ago, YouTube didn't even support "1080 60p." However, it is growing at a high rate, and more than 4K videos are now appearing.

That's how fast the viewers change.

For example, let's look at 'eating show(MUKBANG)' that has been popular since Korea. In the past, most of the videos were simply eating, but now they are incorporating different content into what they eat.

This is produced in response to the audience's response, and the video becomes more provocative. If we start now, can we get ahead of them?

Of course it's not impossible. It is possible with very low probability. The way to increase the chances of success is to use good equipment and invest a lot of time. Will you jump in with a high risk at a very small probability?

A keen competition

Competition has become much fiercer than in the past. You all know that, right? As such, competition among YouTubers has intensified. Recently, not only celebrities but also producers of broadcasting stations are jumping on YouTube. This has become an extension of TV through professional broadcasters.

The increase in influencer has added to the difficulties of the general public. This means that the risk has increased.

YouTube was actually a major market for "low risk - high return" before. However, I think the initial investment is increasing and becoming a "high risk-low return".

The subscriber's revenue has nothing to do with the buyer's.

There are many videos of YouTubers certifying profits. This is different for each YouTuber. Even if the number of subscribers is similar, the yield is completely different.

This is proof that the number of subscribers and revenue are not correlated. YouTube's revenue depends on the number of views.

Of course, having a large number of subscribers is more likely to get high views, but that doesn't necessarily mean they have high views.

In addition, the unit price varies depending on who the YouTube viewer is. Video made for consumers (e.g., experts in their 30s) is profitable. But if it was designed for young children with no consumption history, it would not generate revenue.

Therefore, no matter how many subscribers you have, you cannot make money without watching the video, and it is almost impossible if the video viewer is not a source of revenue.

YouTube has also aged.

YouTube is getting older, and the people who watch it are getting older. That could mean a change in taste.

Let's take an example. What if you were a teenager who watched YouTube for five years? You subscribed to the children's channel five years ago. But now, five years later, shall we watch the children's channel?

Probably won't click. This proves once again that there is no link between the subscriber and the number of views.

Therefore, there are channels that are buried according to the viewer's taste. Does everything appear on your screen? Probably not.

So there's no possibility?

You can still succeed. Consistency and operation should be accompanied. Combining various SNSs is important, and above all, producing good content will be important.

In addition, video production for new entrants is another way. Someone's grandfather may not even know what YouTube is yet.

But this is only a matter of time. As long as you have the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy, you'll be hooked on YouTube someday.

If you are dreaming of a digital market, good luck. Thank you for reading the long article.
